Summary: Technology development contributed to everyday growth of e-books. Access to e-books is provided by editors and distributors of electronic editions, for free or in return for payment. In Serbia there are a couple of editors that are publishing e-books and the increase of digital libraries that provide access to e-books is also notable. E-books can be read on computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones, but e-book readers are the most suitable for longer reading. Easy access, availability 24 hours a day, efficiency in terms of cost and space and other advantages of e-books have contributed to the increase of the reading public.
